3 tips to use backtweets for twitter marketing power

backtweets

I recently discovered backtweets.com and i wanted to share with you how you could use it in your marketing and to tap into new markets.

It’s a really powerful tool if you know how to use it right.

Backtweets.com is a website that allows you to search for websites and find out who’s tweeting them, it’s really cool because you can see who’s promoting you or mentioning you and connect with them.  By doing that you will have  a stronger relationship with them and they will retweet for you and promote you even more.

The second benefit to backtweeets is that it allows you to spy on your competition and connect with their market.  What you can do is type in your competitors url and find those people that are promoting them and talking about them and follow them and connect with them as well.

Backtweets also has an advanced search option where you can search within time periods to see what was happening during a certain time and you can also search a specific twitter user.

It’s great for reverse engineering your social marketing and twitter networking and it allows you to see who’s promoting you so you can spend your time building relationships with them and promoting them and have a tighter network as a whole.

Use this tool to connect with people who are promoting you and will promote you and also use it to tap into new communities that are similar to yours.

There is also a backtweets wordpress plugin if you own a wordpress blog.  I just installed it and it basically looks like it shows you when someone tweets your wordpress blog.  You can find that here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/swedmedia-backtweets-monitor/

I hope you got something out of this post!
