4 Reasons to get a custom designed twitter background

Throughout the time I have spent on twitter I have learned a lot about twitter.  I have learned how to use twitter to my advantage in may ways.

To drive more traffic to my site

To connect with people and build my network

and so many more!

One thing that I took too long to implement in twitter was getting my custom designed twitter background made.

I spent too many months with a free twitter background and my results suffered because of that.  When you have a free twitter background but you are a “business person” or “professional” people don’t see you as the expert that you may or may not be.

It’s like having a free blogspot blog vs. a self hosted wordpress blog.

The person who has the self-hosted wordpress blog that is custom designed is the expert over the person with the free blog 9 times out of 10.  The reason the person with the better image is seen as the expert more even if there content is not as good is because they have the image and brand behind them to prove it, to back them up.

Whereas the free blogger and free web-user doesn’t have that image/brand and it make’s them appear to not know what they are talking about!

Everyone judges a book by it’s cover even though we were told “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” it’s just the way we are!

There are plenty of good reasons to get a custom designed twitter background and it’s extremely important if you want to use twitter to grow your business, drive web traffic and enhance your brand online.

Here is what I found to be different when I got a professional designed twitter background…

1. I got more twitter followers - they must have liked my background and liked what they saw, I instantly noticed that more ppl followed me.
2. They Interacted with me more often - I believe it’s because I have a bigger picture of myself, it show’s i’m a real human and there to connect.
3. I got more offers to promote myself - Before having a custom background I don’t think that I got one offer to promote myself on someone else’s blog by writing a guest post or anything like that.  Now that I have one I get those type of offers all the time! I’m actually going to have a chapter on twitter influence in a book because of it! that’s a BIG deal!
4. My Name/Brand/Image grew - People are more responsive and people started talking about me more as the expert that I always knew i was, I just displayed it now and people took notice.

I have noticed these things to change and it has helped me get more website traffic and allowed me to maximize the background with my other websites so that I can send more traffic and build up a community of like-minded people around me.

The great thing about a custom twitter background is that you can put your other websites in the background so you can drive more traffic when you are tweeting with people.  People will go and check out your sites and what you have to offer once they get to know you.

I highly recommend that you get a professionally designed twitter background.
