Have been having a few aha moments recently.
Many of these were sparked off by meeting Biz Stone of Twitter in Tokyo last month.
I invite you to throw away your traditional thinking about business cards-Around 100 yrs old and email -Around 40 years old
In Tokyo for example when we meet people now we either Poken or we get out our Iphones and follow each other on Twitter.
If I hear of someone or am introduced to them I just simply got to Twitter and quicky find allĀ I want to know
We are in a whole new paradigm.
Viweable by anyone our twitter homepage is now our business card.
So present yourself and what you have to offer in the best way possible. Do not sell on your business card.People will throw it in the bin!
It is a relationship starter right?
Our Twitter accounts are also our new way of communicating. Email nolonger cuts it. 1 to 1 messaging will not get your name and brand out there to your friends` friends.
Nor are email messages searchable when Social Search (Web 3.0) kicks in any day.
Embrace Twitter and leverage off it to build and maintain relationships.
